Building with a Purpose

Charu Kokate (Safdie Architects)

Safdie Architects is a design studio imbued with a spirit of innovation, guided by the belief that architecture should be inherently timeless, connected to nature, and profoundly humane.

Building with a Purpose
Inventing thoughtful ways to humanize developments – through both articulation of buildings and innovative massing strategies – has been a common thread of Safdie Architects since its founding. Singapore is a perfect example of the cities around the world that are urbanizing and growing faster than ever.
Safdie’s focus on creating impactful, urban public spaces is evident through the gardens on the bridges of Sky Habitat, the central garden space at Jewel Changi Airport, the promenade at Marina Bay Sands, communal gardens at the Surbana Jurong Headquarters (among others).
