Interests

An architect/urban designer working in the field of urban research, specializing in resilience urbanism. His interests are aligned to imagining a climate resilient future, with diverse projects focusing on the water resilient communties, to the emergence of new housing typologies due to climate change and socio- economical advancements, to the role of digital in religious heritage management, and lastly to interactive game developement around awareness about flood resilience for young children of Mumbai and Netherlands.

Pedagogy

He has a strong belief in the spirit of processes and advocates the immediacy of historic and cultural contexts in architectural and urban discourse, which influence design and architecture of ideas. Along with informed methodology, he believes there has to be an intimate subject to ‘self’ into any work done which makes us Human in the age of Knowledge and Intelligence.

Milestones

1) Worked on the ‘Rising water, Safer Shores, the BReUCom project with the Faculty of Geo- Information Science and Earth Observation- ITC University of Twente, on a project called ‘Children and Disaster Risk Science’, focusing on dissemination of urban flooding preparedness through game development.
2) Dissertation research paper “SACRED SPACES: ELECTRONIC PLACES: A hybrid methodology to read and design for historic urban religious precincts” has recently been presented for the round table presentation at the International Conference on Cultural Heritage and New Technologies (conducted by I.C.O.M.O.S., Austria, Nov. 2021), and secured second position in the Best Student Paper Award.
3) Presented recently in the 1st international conference on Pandemics and Urban Form hosted by Ozygein Istanbul University, 2022.
4) Coordinated project under the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (Govt. of India), named ‘Mission Amrit Sarovar- Jal Dharohar Sanrakshan’ (2022), focused on conserving and reimagining the historic water systems (lakes-ponds) of Guwahati city situated in the North- Eastern state of Assam, which secured 19th position among top technical institutes all over India.
