Interests

By way of qualification as well as Professional Practice, my interests lie with History, Culture and Heritage studies thereby involved with the Institute's Masters course in Urban Conservation, however since the last 20 years I have been guiding students in field of Technology and Design Dissertation as part of the Undergrad Bachelors program.

Pedagogy

Pursued the understanding of Heritage Conservation through the concept of Urban Continuity opposed to the western idea of conservation through Isolation. Other than being involved in numerous historic core studies and its urban renewal projects, recently have been given the opportunity to study urban water systems in historic cities and how they help in building City resilience. As part of the undergrad technology program the pedagogy largely associated has been the traditional, build a strong theoretical base and create a better understanding through hands on assignments and experiments involving a wide range of materials from bamboo to tensile structures.
