Amruta Sakalker, Alumna KRVIA, shares her thoughts on her  Doctorate journey:

“I am excited to share that I completed my first-week with HR&A Advisors as Senior Analyst. As I embark on the new chapter, I want to thank all my mentors, friends, and family who have supported me throughout my doctoral journey. My co-chairs, Dr. Ariadna Reyes-Sánchez and Dr. Karabi Bezboruah have taught me the rigor and passion for meticulous research and teaching. My committee Dr. Evan Mistur and Dr. Joowon Im, for providing invaluable feedback throughout this journey.

While at the University of Texas at Arlington College of Architecture, Planning and Public Affairs, my projects with the Institute for Urban Studies and other RA assignments have equipped me immensely for this next chapter. Also, the support through scholarships and fellowships provided by the Paul Geisel Endowment, the Women’s Transportation Seminar Heart of Texas, and the peer support of the CAPPA PhD Consortium have been invaluable.
Thank you, CAPPA staff, for resolving so many small and big hiccups each semester too.”
