My interest in cross disciplinary ideas and mediums especially in performance art and its life in photography shape my practice; body and its spatial negotiations in public spaces and intimate spaces, dramatized by makeup and prosthetics that intensify our collective social positioning - often through the lens of gender and the ecosystems we inhabit.


Places and people

The foundation years in design thinking and space making inspire to look into the various processes of art - in form and in philosophy - that encourage one to think with freedom and individuality. Art can add to the approach of making new architecture that possibly liberates the conditions of learning it.


Exhibitions at various Biennales including The Kochi Biennale 2016/17 and 9th Shanghai Biennale, prestigious international residencies including The Mattress Factory Museum of Contemporary Art, Pittsburgh in 2007, Byrd Hoffman Watermill Centre, NY in 2005, Khoj International Artists’ Association, ND in 2010.
Nominated for The Skoda prize 2010 in the top twenty Indian contemporary artists, nominated and shortlisted for Performance Art Initiative at The Tetley, UK in 2017, Reso_3 at Fondazine Spainola per l’Arte, Italy in 2013.
The recent solo exhibit with the Goethe Hyderabad in 2019 and the other Solo exhibitions from 2006 to 2019 along with other well curated shows in various parts of the world, public art projects and collaborative art initiatives as independent artist, enable to work with independent curators, museums, galleries and other democratic art spaces.
