Pinkish completed his M.Arch Degree with Distinction from the University of New Mexico, USA, with emphasis on Urban Design. He also attended the Post–Professional Program and Travel Fellowship chaired by Dr. Charles Moore at the University of Texas at Austin. His B.Arch is from Sir J. J. College of Architecture where he was a Gold Medallist of the University of Bombay.


Pinkish has been Teaching at KRVIA since 2002- primarily guiding Architectural Design Studios and Design Dissertation Projects. His ability to bridge Academia and Practice has led him to be invited to several other institutes and organization’s as a Juror, Reviewer and for Lectures. He currently also serves on the Board of Studies for Rachna Sansad’s Academy of Architecture, Mumbai. Areas of interest range from Dwelling and Domesticity, Educational & Public Institutions, Material and Tectonic Explorations, Interior Architecture, Design Thinking and Understanding Beauty.


Pinkish is a Founding Partner and Design Principal of S+PS Architects that he co-founded with Shilpa Gore-Shah in 1997. They are engaged in the study, reflection and practice of Design, Architecture and Urbanity. S+PSa design approach is that every project is unique, and that the design should evolve through the particular characteristics of each project. Their work is influenced by their interest in History, Pedagogy, Travel and Common Sense. They projects range from Urban Design Schemes, Housing, Institutional Projects, Interiors and Installations.
