Interests

As a practicing landscape architect, Sandeep has worked on landscape design and masterplanning projects of varying scales in diverse bio-geographies. His work often addresses the ideas of natural processes, local ecology and native planting. His recent work focus has been centered around the ideas of enhancing resilience in the peri-urban coastal zones in preparation for climate change related consequences in India. He is currently involved in the European Union Erasmus Plus research project for ‘Building Resilient Communities’ (BReUCom).

Pedagogy

His interests range from ecological urbanism, landscape ecology, socio-ecological resilience, sustainable urban water management, ecological corridors and wetland systems.

Milestones

Sandeep is a contributing author to the chapter on 'Socio-ecological Resilience' to be published Routledge Book focusing on Resilience Thinking in the Global South. He has presented research papers at both Indian and international venues. He has also been a jury member for both Bachelor and Masters courses.
Prior to moving to Mumbai, he was the Design Director of Integral Designs International Studio Private Limited, New Delhi. He was also the recipient of the 'SPA Gold Medal for the Best Outgoing Student' and the 'Narendra Juneja Endowment Gold Medal-2006' for his Masters Thesis Project at the School of Planning and Architecture, New Delhi.
